'Carlos Alcaraz still found a way to win', says former ATP ace

Carlos Alcaraz celebrated his success at Roland Garros by indulging in a short vacation in Ibiza with his friends. Not even time to realize what an incredible feat he accomplished in Paris, the Spaniard immediately packed and unpacked his bags to reach London and prepare for the season on grass.

A part of the season in which he will try to defend the titles he won last year at the Quenn's ATP 500 tournament and Wimbledon. Alcaraz reiterated the importance of finding a balance between his private and professional life in order to perform at his best and always be mentally fresh.

Carlos Alcaraz spoke to the media before his debut on grass: "I spent a few days of vacation with a group of friends. I had fun celebrating Roland Garros. I need these things too.

It is clear that every player is different, but for me it is essential to separate personal life and tennis to reach the highest level. I need to have my days off to relax mentally, be with family and friends, and leave the racket aside.

We tennis players have little time to do it and we have to take advantage of these few opportunities", explained Alcaraz in a press conference and in the words reported by AS. "On Sunday I lifted the title in Paris and on Monday I had many commitments.

In a recent interview, former ATP ace Greg Rusedski opened up on Carlitos: “He came in with a bit of an injury on his elbow, he had a little bit of a problem with the groin. He wasn’t playing his best tennis but he still found a way to win.

But to win on three surfaces and be the youngest guy to win on clay, grass, and hard courts, the guy to do that before was a certain guy called Rafael Nadal, so he’s got an unbelievable pedigree and I’m excited to see if he can transition his form and get healthy for Wimbledon.”
