Dominic Thiem has decided to give his farewell to tennis by the end of 2024. After all, tennis is what I do best and I will never do anything better than tennis in my life again," he told.

"I think of tennis players like the Fab Four or even athletes like Gael Monfils, they are something exceptional. I don't think it's normal and in the future we will see fewer and fewer athletes between 36 and 37 years old still competing and winning. I think 20 years ago it was It's normal to stop at my age, now let's say I'm considered young to retire. I've had a very demanding and intense career, I feel like it's the right time to stop.
