After the season ended, it was to be expected that LIV Golf leaders would make moves that would be talked about. Their goal is to strengthen the Tour, with the arrival of some of the popular names as well as young talents who will build their story on this Tour.

The latest news in the series is that Dustin Johnson has added Thomas Pieters to his 4Aces GC team. The Belgian thus got a great chance to show his qualities on the big stage, and Johnson will be an important mentor to him along the way.

32-year-old Pieters has been part of LIV Golf for almost two years. Until now he played for Bubba Watson's team, RangeGoats GC. He had the opportunity to debut at the prestigious Ryder Cup in 2016.

Dustin Johnson leads 4acesgc, with Harold Varner III, Pat Perez, and Patrick Reed also part of this team. This is a quality team, with individuals who are household names in the world of golf. Next year could be an even better story for them.

The experienced Johnson took to social media to express his pleasure to have such a great addition, believing he'll be an important link in the future. Pieters also confirmed that he feels excited, wanting to show Johnson and others the qualities in the best way.

“Happy to have Thomas on the team. He's a great addition, great player and makes the team stronger. Really excited for next season," Johnson said.

Pieters shared his excitement: "I'm super-excited about playing for DJ and I look forward to pushing him as hard as I can.”

4Aces General Manager, Chris Rosaasen also reacted, stating that he's delighted to have Thomas on the team. The Belgian has shown that he has the potential for great things many times so far, so 4Aces can be happy with him as a new addition.

“He's a solid player with multiple wins in his career. His Ryder Cup record shows he excels in team golf. He's going to be a great fit for the 4Aces brand both on and off the course."- Rosaasen said.

RangeGoats GM Randall Wells reacts: The decision was not easy

RangeGoats GM Randall Wells admitted that the decision to trade Thomas Pieters was not easy. From the moment this team was created, the Belgian was an important link of RangeGoats. However, he further points out that LIV Golf is such a format that sometimes it is necessary to make tough moves.

In the following, he stressed that, just like in other sports, there are many factors that determine their decisions, such as player contracts, a host of factors, and the limited number of places in the team.

The RangeGoats team realized that they have flexibility and hope that some opportunities will open up for them when it comes to the future. We'll see what the intentions of the leader of this team are, considering that they want to strengthen the team.

The Belgian golfer has had solid seasons behind him, finishing 33rd in 2023 and 30th in 2024. The 32-year-old managed to earn over $5 million in 2023, while the following year he managed to earn over $3.5 million. Of the total, almost $3 million comes from the individual portion, while $500,000 comes from the team portion, and $95,000 from the Team Championship.

Thomas Pieters: Interesting facts about him

The European golfer wants to use the next season in the best possible way, taking a step closer to his goal. Coming to this Tour, Pieters revealed some interesting things about him, such as the fact that the golfer he admires the most is Bubba, considering that he's a great lefty golfer. In addition, Thomas said that Pete Cowen had the biggest influence on his career.

The 32-year-old admitted that the tournament he is most proud of is the Ryder Cup. Given that we know that only the best from Europe and the US can perform at the Ryder Cup, it's clear what a feat it is to secure a place in the team. Speaking about his golf career, and interesting things when you are a professional golfer, Pieters probably said in a sarcastic tone that it was traveling and missing your family.

LIV Golfer has many courses he would like to play, but he seems to be particularly fond of TPC Pierpont. Whether he has great memories of the course or there are simply reasons for it, we don't know.

In the sequel, he also revealed that his perfect golf shot is straight in the hole.

There are many interesting things about the 32-year-old, and it will be interesting to see in which direction his career will go. It is certain that we expect a lot from him when it comes to the future.
