The watch worn by Serena Williams at her last US Open

Logan Baker from watch retailer Hodinkee identified what timepiece Serena Williams wore during the last US Open of her career. “Serena Williams went out in style, rocking a quartz Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore with a diamond-set bezel during all her matches,” wrote Baker on Hodinkee’s official website. According to Audemars Piguet’s official website, “the Royal Oak Offshore collection has defied established conventions since 1993, giving an ever more powerful and sportier take on the Royal Oak and its aesthetic codes.” Serena Williams once wore a MARVEL-themed watch In 2021, the same brand worn by Serena at this year’s US Open edition provided Serena with a MARVEL-themed watch. Among the various products that the MARVEL Cinematic Univers includes is the partnership established with the luxury watch brand Audemars Piguet. The first model centers on the Black Panther character: a $ 162,000 piece dedicated to the superhero played by the late Chadwick Boseman. Serena Williams chose to wear this watch dedicated to Black Panther in real life. The clock contains the Black Panther in the center: it took 30 hours to sculpt it, as the Swiss company itself specifies. Audermas Piguet only produced 250 copies: LeBron James, The Weeknd, and Neymar also wear them, as well as Serena Williams.
