Del Potro Bids Farewell to Tennis with Novak in Buenos Aires

Juan Martin del Potro, one of Argentina’s greatest tennis players, officially ended his illustrious tennis career with an emotional farewell match against Novak Djokovic in Buenos Aires. This unforgettable event, named “The Farewell Challenge,” was a true spectacle filled with brilliant points, laughter, and touching moments.
In the friendly match, Del Potro emerged victorious with a score of 6-4, 7-5, but the result was secondary. The crowd enjoyed a real sporting fairytale, further enriched by legendary Argentine tennis players Gabriela Sabatini and Gisela Dulko. At the beginning of the second set, they entered the court and played a few games of mixed doubles — Sabatini teamed up with Del Potro, while Dulko partnered with Djokovic.
The most emotional moment came at the net, where Del Potro and Novak embraced in tears. The farewell was especially difficult for the Argentine, and the stadium audience honored him with prolonged applause. Shortly afterward, a video tribute to Del Potro's career, which was cut short by numerous injuries, particularly to his knee, was shown.
